Laurent Perez Gillooly
Head Coach
Laurent is an Assistant Diving Coach at the University of Florida and brings a wealth of international and collegiate experience to Gator Dive Club. As part of Florida’s coaching staff, she has guided multiple SEC champions, NCAA qualifiers, and All-Americans, playing a key role in the program’s recent success.
Internationally, Laurent represented Venezuela at the 2007 Pan American Games and several FINA Grand Prix events. As a coach, she led the 2017 World Championships in Budapest and the Venezuelan National Team at the 2025 World Championships in Singapore and has developed athletes who became Pan American and South American champions.
At the club level, Laurent has developed numerous divers, with around eight earning scholarships to NCAA programs and several reaching finals at U.S. National Championships. Her combined experience as an elite athlete and coach makes her a dedicated mentor for divers of all levels.
Elizabeth Perez
Assistant Coach
Elizabeth Perez is a member of the Venezuelan National Team and a former full-scholarship athlete at the University of Florida. Throughout her career, she has been an SEC medalist, South American Junior Champion, Central American Games medalist, Pan American Games finalist, and has competed in multiple World Championships. Her extensive experience and accomplishments make her a highly respected coach and role model in the sport.
